summit grant
2025
Capital City, a proud D.C.-born brand known for putting mambo sauce on the map, is committed to uplifting local makers and entrepreneurs. They are partnering with Shop Made Brands on a $5,000 grant that will be given to a small, CPG business during the Shop Made Makers Summit. The micro-grant will be granted to a small business owner looking to further secure standing in the market. They must be retail-ready and have a clear idea how the dollars can impact their growth.
3 finalists will be chosen to present their business growth plan during the event. These finalists will be featured at the Block Party, where they will unveil their exciting ideas to the judging panel and public by giving 3 minute flash talks that, at minimum, must include profitability and plans to scale.
Final judging takes place by a panel of judges, including Arsha Jones, CEO of Capital City, on-site. Attendees of the event can meet and mingle with the applicants and other enthusiastic localists, while enjoying beer, wine and food from local producers. The judges will then choose the final recipient of the Capital City Micro-Grant Award.
